Tiger Blue was my first ever Phinisi experience and honestly, it completely exceeded my expectations. The boat itself is beautiful - spacious, full of character and so much bigger than I expected from the photos. The cabins and beds were super comfortable and it was such a special place to spend a week.
The biggest highlight for me was the team on board. They were warm, fun, incredibly helpful and just genuinely great people to be around. They brought so much to the whole experience and made the trip feel really personal.
The food deserves a mention on its own. We had three meals a day and somehow every single one was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully done. I genuinely looked forward to every meal. Add in sunset cocktails, guided excursions and everything else the team organised, and we were completely spoiled.
I’m also not the most confident diver, especially as we were travelling with some very experienced divers, but the dive masters were brilliant with me. They were patient, encouraging and took me through everything step by step. I always felt safe and never pressured, and by the end of the trip I felt so much more confident in the water.
And then there’s Indonesia itself. After living in Bali for ten years, I honestly had no idea there was still this much beauty left for me to discover. A week on Tiger Blue felt like a dream. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

I spent two weeks aboard Tiger Blue, a 34-metre traditional phinisi sailing Eastern Indonesia, and would go back tomorrow. The food was one of several highlights. I have allergies, and the chef catered to them at every meal without fuss. I never had to ask twice or settle for a lesser plate.
Each day brought something new: on-shore excursions, waterfalls, and water so clear it hardly seemed real. Evenings meant sundowners on the top deck. One night the crew set up dinner and drinks on a small sandbank in the middle of pristine water. It’s the closest thing to a dream I’ve experienced awake.
The crew were friendly and accommodating, and made every request feel easy. Thanks to the never-ending patience of their dive master, I graduated from snorkeling to diving.
Unexpectedly, the Wi-Fi was excellent. I needed to work remotely for parts of the trip and could do so without a problem, then shut the laptop and swim.
With en-suite cabins and plenty of space to spread out, the boat suits families and groups as well as anyone wanting adventure without giving up comfort. Tiger Blue delivers on both. Highly recommended.
Anybody who needs a written explanation can’t understand the magnificence of Tiger Blue! This is an amazing experience, whether you are a diver, snorkeller, or just a lover of landscapes and seascapes — it has it all. The crew are amazing, and the food is out of this world.

A Truly Unforgettable 2-Week Adventure on Tiger Blue
Our two-week sailing trip on Tiger Blue was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped on board, the amazing crew welcomed and took the best care of us. They were very friendly and the attention to detail elevated the entire experience.
Each day offered a new adventure. With so many activities available - scuba diving, snorkelling, hiking, kayaking, and even water skiing - there was never a dull moment. Whether we were exploring pristine reefs or paddling through turquoise bays, the itinerary struck the perfect balance between excitement, relaxation, and beauty.
The absolute highlights were the wildlife encounters. Being the only boat to snorkel/dive with three whale sharks off Sumbawa was breathtaking. And diving with giant oceanic manta rays was a surreal experience to witness their size and grace. We also got to see wild komodo dragons at sunset on a beach, and visited the Komodo National Park on Rinca Island. Both of which were amazing experiences and unique to Indonesia.
Tiger Blue was an incredible adventure which offered several buck lists experiences. If you’re looking for a trip that combines world-class marine life, incredible activities, and a crew that treats you like gold, this is the one. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Tiger Blue was nothing short of life-changing. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely lovable—every detail is handled with such care. The food was absolutely top-notch, every meal prepared with a level of quality and freshness that made dining a highlight of each day.
And then there’s the sea… breathtaking beyond words, like floating on top of the world. Scuba diving gave me a profound respect for nature and left me in awe of its beauty. It’s rare to find a place where you can be fully immersed in nature while also feeling so completely looked after. From start to finish, I never had to worry about a thing, and that freedom allowed me to truly reset. This journey opened my heart, nourished my soul, and gave me memories I’ll carry for a lifetime. Easily one of the highest regarded experiences in my 26 years of existence. From the beautiful crew who are your support system whether you’re chasing after a Mojito to helping you do your very first dive, that in itself was phenomenal to experience such support.
Moving forward to the boat itself, Tiger blue is a gorgeous vessel, the space in the cabins is large and spacious and all the amenities worked wonderfully. Pulling up on private beaches with a full set up rolled out by the crew is the closest you can get to feeling like a AAA artist backstage. To be honest, if you’re still reading this review, you probably should get a group of friends like I did and book this thing. It’s one of the most beautiful things you could do with a group of friends. That being said, I went knowing no one and left with a group of friends!
We had the most incredible trip of a lifetime. Everything was perfect: exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, beautiful views, extraordinary diving (so many turtles!). Just a stunning trip all round. Thank you Arthur, Dolvi, Hamdi and the whole crew. We'll be back!
It was my first time diving and Tiger Blue provided the best experience! We went on so many dives and I felt like I was in Finding Nemo. The crew made me feel safe underwater and was super accommodating—everything was set up and ready for me all of the time!
I was super spoiled on the boat, and my favorite thing were the refreshing drinks and platter of fruit that were ready for us after each dive. Private island parties, lobster on the beach, drinks flowing, fresh caught fish…I would highly recommend it to all my friends!

Raja Ampat is still one of the best dive sites worldwide. The Tiger Blue team have created a fantastic blended experience for the whole family (including for non- of less keen divers). The perfect family holiday in a luxurious and intimate setting. We hope to return for a third time before too long.
From the time one sets foot on the teak decks of Tiger Blue, one steps into a world of rustic, luxury. The simple beauty of the boat’s sleek wooden lines embrace you from the start of a sea safari of a lifetime.
Immediately one is welcomed by the 11 strong smiling crew members and soon depart the crowded, bustling port of Bali and set sail, quite literally into the big blue yonder. Here in the depths of the Indian Ocean and the shores of the vast Indonesian archipelago, bucket -list sightings and rare encounters are wondrously ticked off. From snorkelling with the gigantic, yet gentle Whale Shark or walking amongst the ferocious, endangered Komodo Dragon. An evening mooring brings a multitude of “Flying Foxes” darkening the sunset. These megabats also known as fruit bats make their way overhead to feed on papaws or bananas on a nearby island. If exhausted and adrenaline deplete after these once off experiences, the happy galley staff are on hand with a hot cappuccino or chilled glass of wine. Each meal is a taste sensation, from the fiery sambals to the fragrant spicey assortment of fish, chicken, beef or tofu curries on steaming yellow rice. Replete and satisfied one can retire to your spacious cabin or opt to spend the night on deck with the cool sea-breeze. Every day on Tiger Blue is an array of options;- to snorkel amidst the myriad of corals and be dazzled by the sparkling, confetti of the abundant shoals of fish and perhaps a an Eagle Ray or maybe a even a Manta will glide by. After such ocean encounter, which often swimming among Greenback or Hawksbill turtles, one can opt to stretch your legs with a stroll on a nearby island or a stiff hike up to dazzling waterfalls and sparkling azure pools. Certainly, on the remote islands and in the pristine, un-spoilt waters of captivating Indonesia, guests are well spoilt with a feast of sights, and sounds of the gently lapping ocean. To sail on Tiger Blue is a rare treat. I just can’t wait to again. And for first-timers, I highly recommend, “Go fill that bucket!”
